In Our Shoes Presentation
In a 90-minute multi-media stage presentation, the “Shoe
Women” present stories from their book, In Our Shoes:
Seven Women Reveal Their Soles. On a stage set to invite the audience
into a warm, private living room, the presentation features videotaped
scenes of a “shoe group” gathering, as well as photographs
and images illustrating some of the most powerful stages of the
authors’ lives. Audiences are taken on an incredible ride
through the ups and downs, the pain and the humor, in the lives
of seven ordinary, extraordinary women.
Introducing Fables
Speaking engagements focused on the power of personal fables
are available for organizations, classrooms and writers’ groups.
In this entertaining 20 to 45 minute presentation, you will learn
why you already are a wise and talented writer; why all of your
life experiences—the joyous and the painful—hold
great wisdom and power; how to jump-start your imagination; and
how to begin to turn your life experiences into stories that
can guide you to your dreams and forge stronger connections with
your family, friends, and co-workers.
For trainers and workshop presenters, Wonder Weavers
offers fable readings to support the focus of their presentation.
Fables
are wonderful tools for drawing people into a discussion and
for illustrating key points in a fun and entertaining way.
The fable readings cover a variety of topics and issues, including
relationships, self-esteem, awakening your creativity, manifesting
your dreams, the spirit of giving, the gifts of aging, the
power
of faith, and the value of imagination, to name a few.
